Rainbow Hair for BGMC
Urbana Assembly of God
I am excited to share with you the blessings of this past Missions Sunday.
In January, I challenged our kids to bring in $1000 in the year 2001 for BGMC. This was a large amount because in 2000, we barely raised $350. I told them if they raised $1000, I would dye my hair purple for 2 weeks. They were thrilled and told their parents about this project.
We received our first offering for BGMC for 2001 last Sunday, and the grand total was $432!!!! That is more then we raised in the whole year last year! We will reach $1000, and my daughter upped the goal by pledging to dye her hair blue when we reach $2000. This got the kids leadership going, and we now have goals of green hair at $1500, and pink hair at $2500. (I tried to convince Pastor Grogan to go orange and blue for $10,000, but I think he is scared!)
Praise God for on fire kids who love Jesus and want to share his love around the world!
