My husband and I have been AG Missionaries in Costa Rica for many years. One of my passions is teaching missions to children. The BGMC lessons in Spanish have been WONDERFUL, a big TIME saver for sure (so I didn’t have to translate).
In 2002 while we were pastoring a church in a low-income area, I began “Club M” for “Club Misiones.” BGMC was kind of an unknown acronym, so Club M seemed to be appropriate. We are no longer pastoring at that church, however the children’s missions service continues!
Recently I taught a seminar on how to teach missions to children. I printed off a bunch of the Spanish lessons off the website, divided the attendees into groups, and each group “taught” a lesson of ten minutes. It was a lot of fun. The missions director of one of our zones in Costa Rica was in attendance. Now we are doing a training session for the 50 children’s leaders in his zone in the southern part of Costa Rica.
I learned to love missions growing up in northern Minnesota in my Detroit Lakes AG. I want to transmit that same love to the children in Central America. You have provided so many resources to me, and I am so grateful!
