ASSEMBLIES OF GODBGMC has been such a big help to Global Initiative over the years. Recently, BGMC provided funds to purchase New Testaments in the Pashto language for Afghan people.
At the end of 2020, the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan created an exodus of Afghan people to neighboring nations and even to the United States. Over 100,000 Afghans now make the U.S. their home. Global Initiative decided to provide Bibles to these Afghan refugees—both adults and children.
By the end of 2021, the entire Bible finally became available in the Pashto language. Monies from BGMC helped to purchase these Bibles, which are now available to churches and ministries that work with the Afghan people in the U.S.
