Recently on Children’s Day in Paraguay, we distributed 11,000 “Amazing Gospel Story of Jesus” comic books along with bags of cookies, chocolate milk, and a face mask. Many kids heard of the love of Jesus at this event.
Kids were told that Jesus is looking to adopt them into His family and bring them into the King’s Castle. Hands flew up as kids responded, wanting to become King’s kids. Parents responded with raised hands as well! We took down their addresses so we could send them a video of Aunt Cindy reading the comic to Elmo and the kids.
Thank you, BGMC, for making this day of hope and joy a reality in the midst of the continuing pandemic.
Here is a message from one of our pastors:
¡Gracias, gracias! Thanks for your donation. It was a little piece of love and a smile to each child because of your gift. We were surprised by all that God did this weekend when we celebrated Children’s Day in Paraguay.
All had seemed black. Doors were slammed shut. There was to be no parties and no presents because of the pandemic. In Paraguay, this holiday is bigger than Christmas, but now it looked like it wouldn’t happen.
But God surprised us through you! Word of the miracle of the comic books plus the video clips to send to each home was the light that pierced our blackness and the key that opened the doors of hope. We want to say THANK YOU for your gift of love and happiness to so many kids.
¡Dia de niños, 2020! (Children’s Day 2020)
Sincerely, Cindy Lucas, missionary to Paraguay
