Just got back from the neighbouring city of Manacor here on the island of Majorca, Spain. Today we were in the city park building relationships with parents and handing out balloons to the children. We have rented a storefront in the heart of the city as a meeting place for intercessory prayer and children’s outreach. It is slow going, but then I do remember the church plant in Pamplona, where Lindy and I worked for six months without a single visible result and then it began to happen. Today in Pamplona we have a church of over 700, a vibrant Sunday School program and the top mission’s giving church in Spain. We are believing that souls will come to the Lord in Manacor and that a church and a growing Sunday School will be started.
The $5000 from BGMC was put toward the new Ministry Center here in Palma de Mallorca. Here in Palma we have 200 children register in our Sunday School—in very crowded conditions. When the Ministry Center is completed, we will be able to fit comfortably. The property has been purchased and fully paid for, and now we are in the finalizing of the plans stage with the architects. With adequate room we believe our Sunday School will go from 200 to 300 in a very short period of time. I’ve attached some photos of the kids in our Sunday School classes.
We are indebted to BGMC. In our church plants in Pamplona and Getxo, here in Spain, BGMC provided Sunday School materials, equipment, and more. Today each of these church plants have great Sunday School programs, which is unusual in Spain. Between the two church plants there are now over 1,000 souls. BGMC’s investment has resulted in great dividends.
