We arrived in the Malawi village of Kasolo with Archie & Nancy McGlawn. Along with us was the Executive Treasurer for the Malawi Assemblies of God, Jim Botomani. When we saw the people sitting on their straw mats & benches from the church being placed around the well, we realized that the dedication of the well was going to be an outreach for the community.
Steve was asked to preach beside the well. Then BGMC buckets were given out to every household. The village chief & community leaders attended the event. They heard the Gospel preached & were also given a BGMC bucket.
It was delightful to see the excitement on the face of the lady pastor, who was dressed in a bright blue dress. She led her people in many joyful dances & singing around the well as they no longer had to walk 6 miles to get water. She has been the pastor in Kasolo for 5 years. There are 200+ people in her church & 4,000+ in the village. Please pray for her, that the well will continue to bring people to the church for clean water & also so they will come to know Jesus as their Savior.
Your support has allowed us to build many wells just like this one and share the gospel with those who haven't yet heard.
Thank you,
Steve and Glenda Evans
