Testimony from Missionaries Don and Terri Triplett:
Little Ana began speaking in English with all her might as she leaned on wall of the Prayer Fortress second Floor Chapel. People started going over to listen to her speaking in tongues in perfect English as she was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Thirteen other children received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit that night in the Prayer Fortress, as 22 children poured out their hearts to the Lord in tears of joy and peace.
I had a similar experience a couple of years ago at the camp. I was washing my Speed The Light vehicle when a couple of girls came walking down from the Prayer Fortress. One of the young girls came up to me and said “Hi brother Don. How are you?"
I said, “I am fine thank you.”
She said, “Where are you from in the USA?"
And I said, "I was born in Nebraska but had my credentials in Ohio where my Great Grandfather was born.”
Then I asked her, “What was happening in the Prayer Fortress?”
She started to tell me, and the other girl who was with her started to laugh and told me in Spanish, “She doesn’t speak a word of English, but she has been speaking this language all afternoon, and she just can’t stop speaking in tongues.” I was amazed because not only was she conversing with me, but she spoke such good English; I was sure she had grown up in the USA, speaking the language.
Quite often we hear people speaking in Portuguese, French, English and Chinese to mention a few languages. Sometimes, young people will talk for hours in their languages, and it takes someone who has the gift of interpretation to translate for us.
You see we have been praying in the Prayer Fortress for Revival — 24/ 7 - 365 days a year — now for 18 years, and so many things have happened over the years. We are sensing that we are about to see the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit the world has ever known to empower the Last Harvest of the Last Generation in the Final Hour before Jesus returns.
Assemblies of God churches around the world are largely not Pentecostal in Experience. The older generation remembers the days of Revival, but the younger generation has not experienced Pentecost.
I have become very concerned about the direction of our movement, and I have decided to do all I can to change the trend towards a powerless lukewarm Gospel of the End Times Church.
Currently, I am the FHAD Infanto-juvenil Children’s Ministries Director, the LAC Children’s Initiative Leader, and the LAC Representative on the Global Children’s Ministry Network. The #1 item on my agenda everywhere I go is to encourage children’s workers to reach out and change the future of our movement.
If every children’s worker in the A/G will make sure that every child under his care has the opportunity to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, we can bring back a New Generation of Pentecost to our fellowship.
February 13 –17, we met with children’s leaders from 17 Latin American Countries to experience Pentecost and challenge everyone to teach about and minister the Baptism in the Holy Spirit to every A/G child and young person in all of our churches in Latin America.
My daughter, Michelle Wellborn, Missionary to Argentina, is being mightily used of the Holy Spirit to lead children into the very presence of God. I invited her to come down to El Salvador to help us show children’s workers how to lead a child into the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. It was amazing how it all worked out.
The evening service consisted of bringing 98 children from the surrounding area, many of which were not even saved yet, to seek the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The children came five hours early before the evening service, so that they could be prepared for receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. They had to be taught about the Biblical Basis for the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, the History of our Pentecostal Heritage, the initial evidence of receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues, what tongues are and what the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is for in the life of a Modern day Disciple.
It was a wild afternoon because these children were unchurched and from unsaved families. Some had come just to have a free bus ride to the camp and a couple of free meals.
Michelle and I were wondering what would happen when these children were brought into the meeting where 200 children’s workers were seated, but we committed it to the Lord and asked Him to take control.
Later that evening, Michelle gave a very simple challenge, inviting them to allow the Holy Spirit to Baptize them in the Holy Spirit. The children began to weep and cry out to God as 66 of the children were Baptized in the Holy Spirit that evening. The stories began to pour in by the next day as many of these children went home full of Pentecostal Power to testify to their unsaved parents. Several of the parents, some unsaved, had come with their kids, and they were able to see the way the Holy Spirit moved on the children powerfully.
Needless to say, all the children’s workers from the 17 countries were both amazed and challenged by the simplicity of leading young children between 8 -12 years old into the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. I believe each one of the Royal Ranger, Missionettes, King’s Castle, Children’s Church, Sunday School and Christian School Leaders were challenged to go and do the same thing in their countries.
We believe this will be our finest hour as Joel, Acts, Azusa, Pensacola pale in significance beside the Holy Spirit Outpouring in these Last Days. Everyone, young and old, will be involved in this world event. Jesus is coming, and what we are going to do we must do very quickly because time is of the essence. My father the late Loren Triplett used to say, “In time of harvest everything that can be done is required.” It is time to pull out the stops and go into the entire world and preach the Good News with Pentecostal Power to every child on the Planet. Will you help us?
One of my three "Wildly Important Goals" is to see King’s Castle Launched in 120 countries. We are already in 29, so we still lack 91 countries and are Recruiting, Equipping and Comissioning young missionaries to GO.
