Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC) engages, teaches, and disciples our youngest generation in God’s mission to reach the lost! This is accomplished by creating a heart of compassion in kids for the world's and our missionaries' needs. Kids are challenged to pray for our missionaries, sacrificially give to missions, and reach the lost in their own area. Funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world with a special emphasis on Kids Helping Kids. Additional project focuses include curriculum translation and development, kids’ outreaches, humanitarian aid, medical care, child welfare missions (foster care and orphanages), water initiatives, feeding programs, and anything else a missionary may need to spread the love of Jesus.
Starting BGMC in your church is simple! Check out these resources to guide you along the way.
Get Started +With a new generation of kids being All In to spread the gospel, there is no limit to how we can help reach the lost, restore the broken, feed the hungry, house the orphan, and impact the world water crisis. We are only beginning to see what God will accomplish through this next generation!
BGMC began in 1949 as a way to get needed literature and curriculum to missionaries overseas while teaching kids about the importance of missions. Over the years, this essential ministry has grown to providing vital funds and resources to AG missionaries and ministries for wide-ranging global impact. Nearly 75 years later, BGMC has raised over $200 million for critical needs around the world!
BGMC and Speed the Light are now under the umbrella of NextGen Missions! Each ministry still has its own separate identity and function, but they now have greater synergy and focus in cultivating a heart of missional generosity in the next generation.
